I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has been a psychotherapist since 2000. I got my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley College in 1999. I also have five years of postgraduate training in Gestalt therapy and am a graduate of the Gestalt Institute of New England.
From 2000 to 2002 I worked as a counselor at a battered women’s program, providing counseling and advocacy for women who were abused by their partners. I then worked nearly ten years at Fenway Health, a community health center in Boston that focuses on serving the GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender) community. For two years I was a counselor at Fenway Health’s Violence Recovery Program where I provided counseling and advocacy for survivors of hate crimes and domestic violence. After that, I increased my general psychotherapy work at Fenway Health and did short and long-term therapy with individuals and couples. I left Fenway Health in 2012 to work in private practice. I also spent two years as a Clinical Instructor in the Counseling and Psychology Department at Lesley University.
I love my work.
